Liddel Water Lodges: Stunning Authentic Log Cabins In Cumbria, UK.
Any time I see authentic and bespoke log cabins in the UK my ears prick up and I immediately reach the flannel shirt and yellow beanie. So, I was excited for opportunity to stay at these Cumbrian log cabins for a few days to shoot some interior and lifestyle photographs. The excitement levels went up to eleven when we rolled up, down the long drive where the biggest of the cabins juts out of the hillside looking out high the river. Interestingly the river is Liddel Water and is the border between Scotland and England.
Mine Track is the largest of the two cabins and sits further up the hill away from the river. It has five bedrooms and sleeps ten people depending on you arrangements. All bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms with the exception of the kids bunkbed room which is opposite the main downstairs bathroom. The downstairs bedroom has double doors that lead you directly to the hot tub area which is a really nice touch.
The living space is a giant open plan living room/kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is very well equipped with basically everything you could ever want for a self catered accommodation. Other cooking options include a large gas barbeque on the balcony or a firepit next to the hot tub, basically they’ve got you covered.
The living space has huge sliding doors that opens out onto a giant balcony overlooking the river. The balcony wraps around the side of the cabin with a lockable gate and is very reasonably child safe, the only real danger I noticed is if a child was to climb on the furniture near the barrier. The balcony get’s some lovely evening light too.
